  • AFTER SCHOOL CLUB OPENING AT PPS

    Thu 26 Feb 2015

    I am pleased to announce that we will be opening an after school club for the pupils of Pencoed Primary School. It will be run by “Simply Out of School” an organisation that already successfully runs clubs in other local schools.  It will be open to all pupils from aged 3-11 and will offer after school care until 5:30pm. It will be hosted at the main site at the school.

  • Stretch Yourself Challenge Books

    As part of our provision for More Able and Talented pupils, we issue a selection of children a "Stretch Yourself" challenge book. This book gives these pupils half-termly opportunities to complete independent enrichment projects on a wide range of topics. Some examples of these projects have been to:

    Design and budget a roller coaster.

    Design a Dream School.

    Write a fact file on an unusual animal.

    Write a profile on a person that has inspired them.

  • Consultation of closure of LRB

    Just to remind you all that there is a parent's meeting on Thursday 26th February at 5:30pm on the proposed closure of one of the Learning Resource Bases in Key Stage 2.

    There is an opportunity to comment on this closure online.

  • Year 6 trip to London!

    On Friday, our year 6 pupils visited the Imperial War Museum, London as part of their topic study of World War Two. The pupils had a wonderful time exploring the wide range of exhibitions and artefacts. As always, the behaviour and maturity of our pupils was exemplary and we were extremely proud of the way they conducted themselves throughout the day.
