Good morning,
As you know, this was the first year of Honor Goodsite’s Big Build competition and we have been astounded by the amount of entries we have received for it, and the quality of the entries has been exceptionally high. Due to this, we have selected three winners instead of one as there were so many impressive entries.
I’m happy to announce that your entry has been chosen as a runner-up for Honor Goodsite’s first ever Big Build competition!
We would like to say a huge thank you for your brilliant entry, the judges really did have an incredibly difficult time choosing the three winners as all the entries were of such a high standard. You really engaged with all aspects of the competition, creating a brilliant Big Build and most importantly, you interacted with your community and got them thinking about construction in a positive way.
To view all of the entries, including your own, please look out for our digital flip-book of all the entrants that took part in the competition being published on both the Scheme and Ivor Goodsite websites very soon.
Congratulations! We hope you consider taking part again next year.
Kind regards

One of our past pupils, Morgan Sweet, now aged 13 and in year 9, has set himself a new challenge this year in order to raise money for Cancer Research Uk.
On December 30th he is going to be swimming 4 Miles of Pencoed Swimming Pool, 256 lengths of the pool without stopping!
He is hoping to beat his total raised from two years ago of £1400 where he swam 3 miles. There are sponsorship forms in the school office and Morgan has a Just Giving page set up if anyone would like to donate.
Good Luck Morgan!
Congratulations!
Well done to Louise, one of our fabulous staff members who graduated this week with a First from Trinity College. This is an amazing achievement and we are all really proud of you.

Pencoed’s Talents Spreading Far and Wide!
I was thrilled to receive this email this morning from someone who had attended the Knitting and Stitching Show in London this week! It’s fabulous to think that our pupils’ achievements are being celebrated across the country! Well done to all involved and especially Miss Maddocks who continues to lead the work in this area.
Dear Ms Sarjeant,
I am a Trustee of NACE and I know you are a member of our organisation and have achieved the prestigious Challenge Award.
I am contacting you as I was at the Knitting and Stitching Show yesterday at Alexandra Palace London and attended a workshop run by Haf Weighton. I heard all about the "Creating our Welsh Cultural Identity" project at your school. Wow! What an inspirational and amazing project. The outcomes were terrific and the Children were exceptional. How wonderful that the world famous Saatchi Gallery in London will be exhibiting the work of the school. Incredible. I shall certainly be visiting the exhibition. A huge congratulations to everyone involved. A triumph for Pencoed Primary School.
Kind regards
Sue Mordecai
