  • David Public Speaking success!

Fri 20 Mar 2015 Mr Raymond

On Thursday evening at Croesty Primary School, David of year 6 competed in the Bridgend Rotary Club primary public speaking competition. David had to speak passionately about a topic of his choice for several minutes, maintaining eye contact with the audience and not using any notes. David chose to speak about school attendance.

After eleven contestants from across Bridgend all performed to a wonderful standard, David was announced as runner-up. This is a marvellous achievement that we are all very proud of.

  • Ruben gymnastics success

Tue 03 Mar 2015 Mr Raymond

Congratulations to Ruben from Year 6 pupil who competed in the Welsh gymnastics Championships on Saturday. He came away with a bronze medal for all-around. This proudly states him as 3rd in Wales! As a school, we are extremely proud of him and it makes all his hard work worth it! At the championships, he completed all 6 apparatus and is now going ahead this weekend for a trial to compete as an individual in the Celtic Cup! A massive well done Ruben!

    Spring Term 2015

We have completed some of our targets on our action plan which we will share with you. If you have any ideas or related issues then please see one of the ECO Committee. We have displayed ‘Do Not Drop Litter’ signs, carried out a litter survey and a litter pick. We have created  and placed stickers on the light switches to tell you what lights you can put on. We are also doing the ‘Golden Light Bulb Award’ and we will collect them on a Friday.

We will need extra help to fill the planters with soil and dig the garden over in front of the Year 5 classes. If you can help see Mr Lambert.

‘Fairtrade Fortnight’ starts on February 23rd. There will be a Fairtrade shop in the hall. Big Pedal starts for all KS2 pupils on Monday 2nd March. On Tuesday March 3rd we will be assessed for our ECO Platinum Award.
