  • Parents Questionnaire

Mon 08 Jun 2015 Mr Raymond

Many thanks for the responses to the Parents Questionnaire. The results are overwhelmingly positive, with nearly all responses recognising and acknowledging the good work of the school. All staff have looked at the results and formulated plans to further improve aspects of our provision following your feedback. These plans include:

    • Sharing information when children are given additional support – A provision template is in the process of being designed that will outline the wide range of support on offer to pupils of all abilities.
    • Understanding the school’s policies for dealing with complaints – This will be issued shortly via a letter and will be added to the school website.
    • A review of pupil participation and citizenship to ensure pupils are taking full responsibility for themselves and others.

As always, if there are any specific issues or comments you have, regarding any area of the school, please see either myself or Mr. Lambert. A full copy of the responses can be found using the news link above.

Many thanks once again for your continued support and cooperation. Your views are vital in ensuring we continue to improve all aspects of school life for every pupil.

  • Fantastic VE Day / Community Event

    Wed 13 May 2015

On Friday the school hosted its second Community Coffee afternoon. This event coincided with the school’s VE day celebrations. The event was really well attended, with many of the local community groups represented. Our visitors listened to a presentation by Year 6 pupils who have been studying World War 2. The children then showed all of their work and discussed their favourite aspects with the adults.  We all joined in the singing and then our visitors had tea and cakes, which had been expertly made by Mrs Hedges and her cookery club children.

Many thanks to everyone who attended and to the staff and children who worked so hard to organise this event.

Fri 20 Mar 2015 Mr Raymond

On Thursday evening at Croesty Primary School, David of year 6 competed in the Bridgend Rotary Club primary public speaking competition. David had to speak passionately about a topic of his choice for several minutes, maintaining eye contact with the audience and not using any notes. David chose to speak about school attendance.

After eleven contestants from across Bridgend all performed to a wonderful standard, David was announced as runner-up. This is a marvellous achievement that we are all very proud of.
